Why are there AA and DD bra sizes but not BBs and CCs?
It all began in 1935 when the US-based Warner Brothers Corset Company invented the 'Alphabet bra,' says Oriole Cullen, a curator of Fashion and Textiles at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. 'Before then, bras were really just two triangles of fabric sewn together. The Alphabet bra, available from an A to a D, revolutionised sizing, as it took into account that women had different cup as well as back sizes.' But as the population expanded, so did the need for even bigger bras. A spokesperson for Rigby & Peller, corsetieres to the Queen, explains: 'E sounded far too big so new sizes were created at either end of the spectrum - a size AA and a DD. Then in America the DDD was created, until eventually manufacturers realised they had to go bigger still, creating an E and so on. Today, our largest size is a 44I.

Sono d'accordo, anche i maschi devono sapere. Così ti aiutano quando sei nel camerino a trafficare con i ganci. E' un ca... una confusione terribile, con le taglie.
